I want to live in my living room.  Not simply visit it when I invite  friends and family over.  I live by moving my body and the bodies of others and thus, moving daily in all this space seemed like the natural thing to do.  I now call it the #PilatesLivingRoom.

I had a beautiful white couch and love seat in the room that only served the purpose of collecting dust.  I had that set for more than 30 years.  The last time someone sat on it was August 2017 when these 25+ year olds came to hang out with their #AuntieFullOn (as I have been lovingly nicknamed by them) for a party on a boat.

Hell! They remember being scolded for jumping on the couches when they were five year olds  – in at least 5-6 other living rooms.  It was time for the couch and loveseat to find another home.  I wanted to move in my living room.

Ditto for the dining room set. I bought it from Pottery Barn more than 9 years ago and it had two leaves and six chairs.  Four of the darn chairs were almost always in the way of my getting to the window to look outside.  So, everything went to the salvation army with hopes that someone else found them to appreciate with their family.

I wanted to live in my living space.

The transition occurred in my head for about two months.  I visualized everything and knew the spacing required to create the room I wanted.  So, over the course of the past weekend, with the help of a lifelong friend and creative construction collaborator (he helped me build every single one of my creative spaces) the #PilatesLivingRoom was revealed in living color!

I am delighted with the finish and as you can see, so were students and clients on Monday morning.  You are welcome to come and move with me in my #PilatesLivingRoom.
