Yes, I know it has been a while since I have had something to say or share.  I have been so caught up in the realities of getting older and losing friends, getting thrown off bicycles, healing bruised body parts and egos and all the while building a new studio space.

Oh!  I have been doing quite a bit of painting; I started knitting a beautiful Alpaca wool sweater coat and bought a dehydrator for fruits and herbs.  It’s that “hunkering down” seasonal shift of energy or maybe it’s the country girl in me that loves doing things with her hands.  Yes, quite a few things are new and different, while at the same time, I can say undeniably – heart, mind, movement and creativity remain the same and in tact.

That goes for me personally and the work my students are doing in the studio, as can be seen from the intensity of expression, form and intention in the images below.

Changing locations and entering a new season simultaneously may give us all an opportunity to make a new approach to the old way of doing things.

It’s all about shifting perspective.  Making subtle changes and adjustments.  Refining what it is we are doing, while keeping hold to the good in it all.  Finding something new and different (refinement) while at the same time, maintaining the (same) good foundation.

Come on into the studio!  See the refinements added to the space.  Experience the difference.  Hell, check out my murals all over the walls and maybe taste some of my dehydrated fruit snacks 🙂
