Instead, I proudly joined a colleague and co-led our movement practice across the Atlantic, trading the four walls for the golden cliffs, tiled streets, and endless horizons of Portugal.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From <\/span><b>October 11th to the 18th<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, we led nine others on a movement excursion that was about so much more than just exercise. It was about exploring the angles of a new landscape and finding new curves within ourselves.\u00a0 And if\u200b I had to pick one word to describe what happened, it would be vibrant. \u200bNot only what we did, as a colorful group of women (most of us traveling together &#8211; as a group &#8211; for the first time) but also, from the geometric beauty of Portugal&#8217;s landscape, from parks to dusty trails of the countryside, and the vista views of Nazarene.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here is a recap of a week well spent, in no particular order.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile is-vertically-aligned-top\" style=\"grid-template-columns: 30% auto;\">\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><video src=\"https:\/\/www.pilates4fitness.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Lisbon-Last-Day.mp4\" controls=\"controls\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\"><\/video><\/figure>\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">City Views &amp; Lisbon Light<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>We spent two days in Lisbon and stayed at the Moxi Hotel; ending the trip soaking up the atmosphere in Lisbon. I got to check in with my cousin, Len Raney over breakfast, and the group spent time at the top of Parque Eduardo VII, looking down over the manicured hedges toward the river. It was the perfect place to just pause and breathe.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-plain\">Pure joy. Fragrant and peaceful, and absolutely magical.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Trotting through the eucalyptus trees. The smell of the woods and the sound of hooves was therapeutic.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Some of us were a little more free and fluid than others and I really got a kick out of traipsing thru the woods and into the arenas, feeling completely disconnected from the stress of daily life and fully connected to nature.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Following the leader. A beautiful day for a ride in the arena.<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\u200bAfter the ride, we had some time to chat with the instructors and just hang out at the stables. It\u2019s these little in-between moments\u2014laughing after a ride, taking off the helmets\u2014that stick with you.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile is-vertically-aligned-top\" style=\"grid-template-columns: 34% auto;\">\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><video src=\"https:\/\/www.pilates4fitness.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Vineyard.mp4\" controls=\"controls\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\"><\/video><\/figure>\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>The Winery Tour<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>We toured a hundred+ year old, family owned vineyard, <a title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/shop.sanguinhal.pt\/Quinta-do-Sanguinhal-Visita-Guiada-&amp;-Refei%C3%A7%C3%A3o-p196470015\">Quinta do Sanguinhal<\/a>, and there is no question it was a highlight of the week.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Believe it or not, I think after the wine tasting we actually returned to the property for a sunset yoga class overlooking the infinity pool.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-nowrap is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-ad2f72ca wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"1599\" class=\"wp-image-82323\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 9\/16; Quiet Evenings<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\u200bWe wrapped up our days chasing sunsets. Portugal gave us some spectacular ones. There is nothing quite like sitting by an infinity pool, watching the sky turn from blue to fiery orange, silhouetting the tall grass.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>\u200bFinal Thoughts<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\u200bThis week in Portugal was a reminder that 2025 is about balance. It\u2019s about the excitement of a gallop through the trees and the stillness of a sunset. It\u2019s about good food and friends. Here\u2019s to carrying this energy through into the coming year.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>There is no question, this excursion was a highlight of my year and an incredible amount of work and planning was required to make it happen.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video style=\"aspect-ratio: 1080 \/ 1080;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pilates4fitness.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Gina-and-Anayra.mp4\" controls=\"controls\" width=\"1080\" height=\"1080\"><\/video><\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br \/>Anayra deserves all the credit and kudos for that; I am grateful we collaborated together.<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>And I am even more grateful for her leadership in pulling it off!
