{"id":79977,"date":"2021-08-20T21:46:39","date_gmt":"2021-08-20T21:46:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pilates4fitness.com\/site\/?p=79977"},"modified":"2024-01-06T15:12:05","modified_gmt":"2024-01-06T15:12:05","slug":"movement-care-centering-realignment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pilates4fitness.com\/site\/movement-care-centering-realignment\/","title":{"rendered":"Movement, Care, Centering &#038; Realignment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Emerging from the first pandemic lockdown with fresh eyes, a renewed spirit, new living\/moving space with the most thrilling, open view.\u00a0 I am filled with joy as I complete the finishing touches in the new movement space; #Pilates4FitnessAtTheSkyline.\u00a0 The second year of living in a masked world has given my work a new focus, renewed perspective and shift of attention that can and will occur in this space.\u00a0 Our collective activity in the new movement space will be focused on healing, centering and realignment.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif;\">Far too many lives have been lost, displaced and turned upside down.\u00a0 The mental and physical trauma caused by the pandemic won&#8217;t just go away quietly. The ongoing adjustment we all will continue to make, will give us reason to pause, re-think and re-assess our priorities; thus re-align our actions for healthier experiences together.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This quote caught my attention, &#8220;peak happiness lies mostly in collective activity.&#8221;\u00a0 Taken from an op-ed essay, by Adam Grant, an organizational psychologist at Wharton, &#8220;<span style=\"font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/07\/10\/opinion\/sunday\/covid-group-emotions-happiness.html\">There\u2019s a Specific Kind of Joy We\u2019ve Been Missing<\/a>.&#8221;\u00a0 The premise is not new to myself or my health and fitness colleagues.\u00a0 We\u00a0 have built our businesses, lives and our living around helping others find joy and happiness in doing hard work, collectively as a group. that can and will continue to support the health, healing, care and re-alignment of this beautiful, diverse and spirited community.<\/p>\n<p>We are all collectively emerging and evolving from a place never experienced before.<\/p>\n<p>We need each other.<\/p>\n<p>The work may make you laugh a bit.\u00a0 I probably will make you sweat and swear more than usual; I know this work will make you find and feel the strength you have inside, and I know you will know at the outset, that I have your best interest in mind with every movement I ask of you.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: right;\">Movement, Care, Centering &amp;
