{"id":5831,"date":"2016-02-25T23:30:51","date_gmt":"2016-02-25T23:30:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pilates4fitness.com\/site\/?p=5831"},"modified":"2016-05-22T22:46:07","modified_gmt":"2016-05-22T22:46:07","slug":"decisions-inspiration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pilates4fitness.com\/site\/decisions-inspiration\/","title":{"rendered":"Decisions &#038; Inspiration"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Couple of decisions were made this week. \u00a0I decided to stop\u00a0drinking wine the day after my &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/BCDLqt8zOTs\/\">all-girls hangout<\/a>&#8221; that forced me to look critically at the volume of my intake each night. \u00a0The wine was going down like water. \u00a0Since I am intent on holding myself to a daily regimen of Pilates, health and clean eating, these two paths were simply out of synch. \u00a0<!--more-->So I decided to stop drinking wine on Monday, February 22nd.<\/p>\n<p>Mentally\u00a0preparing for Part 2 of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pilates4fitness.com\/site\/bridge-pilates-brooklyn-blossom\/\">Blossom&#8217;s workshop<\/a>,\u00a0\u00a0I laid on my\u00a0mat early this morning with the intention of doing the entire advanced mat workout in a slow and deliberate pace. \u00a0Slow and methodical. \u00a0Deliberate and conscious. \u00a0 Lying in deep to the muscle so that the breath moves me &#8211;\u00a0rather than rushing through the series to have finished the work for the sake of finishing.<\/p>\n<p>Slow &#8211; because I wanted\u00a0to feel every inch. \u00a0Methodical &#8211; because Pilates is just that; \u00a0a precise, methodical practice of movement. \u00a0Deliberate and conscious\u00a0&#8211; because frankly, its the only way to move.<\/p>\n<p>In the middle of Open Leg Rocker, I decided that I would participate in the MarchMatness2016 social media blitz and do it all with video. \u00a0That would change the experience for me,\u00a0keep it fresh \u00a0and give me a creative outlet to participate. \u00a0As it turns out, I started my IG account only so that I could participate in #MarchMatness2015. \u00a0I&#8217;ve built fabulous <em><strong>new<\/strong><\/em> social media relationships with the account, as a result, by following and enjoying other teachers globally last year through the campaign. \u00a0It was blast and I was going to sit it out this year. \u00a0Up until this morning.<\/p>\n<p>I decided I might as well take it all the way and do it\u00a0with video! \u00a0A few of my private session students are traveling during the month, leaving me a few extra hours to &#8220;work and play&#8221; while I use my energy during the\u00a0month to &#8220;clean up my act&#8221; (i.e., no wine or alcohol).
