{"id":5778,"date":"2016-02-09T03:19:44","date_gmt":"2016-02-09T03:19:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pilates4fitness.com\/site\/?p=5778"},"modified":"2016-05-22T22:47:55","modified_gmt":"2016-05-22T22:47:55","slug":"friday-flexibility-abstractness","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pilates4fitness.com\/site\/friday-flexibility-abstractness\/","title":{"rendered":"Friday Flexibility &#038; Abstractness"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Snow usually changes everything for most of us. \u00a0A light early morning dusting can wreak havoc on any driving commute, for sure. \u00a0But it simply made my morning all the more active, creative and intensive for a Mat and Wunda chair flexibility workout.<!--more--><\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 188px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pilates4fitness.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/20160205_141439-e1454885479636.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"188\" height=\"334\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Barnett Newman, &#8220;Vir Heroicus Sublimis&#8221;<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The day ended after a<a href=\"http:\/\/www.vcjentertainment.com\/creative-expression\/pollack-picasso-abstractness-moma\/\"> trip to MOMA<\/a>, where unbeknownst to me at the time, the start of my morning would continually re-appear &#8211; in the form of red, abstract beauty &#8211; over and over and again.<\/p>\n<p>But it started with the simplicity of snowfall at 7:00am and peering out thru my window, I had every intent of hitting the mat to stretch and lengthen. \u00a0This was the first week of February and \u00a0quoting \u00a0<span id=\"eow-title\" class=\"watch-title \" dir=\"ltr\" title=\"McFadden &amp; Whitehead Ain't No Stopping Us Now (long Version).wmv\">McFadden &amp; Whitehead,\u00a0<\/span>&#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=VuAZTWGfQTs\">Ain&#8217;t No Stopping Us Now<\/a>,&#8221; on the trek to living everyday with a piece of Pilates involved.<\/p>\n<p>Advanced mat coupled with advanced Wunda Chair will leave anybody in a hot sweaty mess oblivious to the elements and only cooled by the thought of walking in snow.<\/p>\n<p>That is exactly what happened. \u00a0Taking a page from\u00a0<span class=\"instructor-name\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pilatesology.com\/classes\/tizianas-wundamat\/\">Tiziana Trovati&#8217;s Mat &amp; Wunda<\/a> workout on Pilatesology, I added a few extra variations and moves she didn&#8217;t use, e.g., semi-circle, pushup #3, going up front, and in my own time and pace, worked the hell out of it while capturing just a few minutes to document\u00a0the morning.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Hot, sweaty mess was finished and ready for\u00a0coffee and eggs by 8:45am and a morning client at 10:30am.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/-6-uaPeVgkI?rel=0&amp;showinfo=0\" width=\"700\" height=\"394\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Check out the images of my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vcjentertainment.com\/creative-expression\/pollack-picasso-abstractness-moma\/\">MOMA visit<\/a>. \u00a0Picasso, Hammons, Pollack, Rothko, Monet, Basquiat.
