{"id":5733,"date":"2016-01-25T01:20:11","date_gmt":"2016-01-25T01:20:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pilates4fitness.com\/site\/?p=5733"},"modified":"2016-03-06T16:18:01","modified_gmt":"2016-03-06T16:18:01","slug":"working-up-to-blizzard-energy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pilates4fitness.com\/site\/working-up-to-blizzard-energy\/","title":{"rendered":"Working up to Blizzard Energy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The energy toward the end of the week was feverish to say the least. \u00a0The barometric pressure had all of our sinus blocked. \u00a0Anticipation of the battle of the East Coast #Snowmageddon2016 \u00a0had so many people on warning, it was such a relief and release to let go of the steam after the storm.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-5736\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pilates4fitness.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/snowmageddon1-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"snowmageddon1\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pilates4fitness.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/snowmageddon1.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.pilates4fitness.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/snowmageddon1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.pilates4fitness.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/snowmageddon1-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.pilates4fitness.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/snowmageddon1-700x467.jpg 700w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/>Or during the storm. \u00a0Or before the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=qRv7G7WpOoU&amp;feature=youtu.be\">curfew on the streets\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0by skiing and snowboarding through Times Square.<\/p>\n<p>For my Pilates peeps and myself?<\/p>\n<p>Kinda normal. \u00a0Typical workouts, lots of wine, more workouts, more wine, lots of wine, more sweat and did I mention lots of chardonnay.<\/p>\n<p>Then some of us\u00a0walk in the snow and just chill. \u00a0Just a few of us \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p>I picked a new room with an amazing view of the city to get my cardio workout done from now on. \u00a0I call it &#8220;A Room With a View&#8221; as there are 12-15 treadmill machines facing the Manhattan skyline overlooking the Hudson River and blissful is the only sensation I have when moving at a stride, gallup or a full long run looking over water and sunlight.<\/p>\n<p>So MondayMatwork starts with a good cardio sweat and then my own personal 3-5 rep Advanced Mat workout. \u00a0The rest of the weeks&#8217; activities were consistent with the weekly focus and client needs until Saturday&#8217;s weather forecast changed everything.<\/p>\n<p>Funny how, the start and the end brought me right back to the same place &#8211;
