Took a salt bath with the\u00a0plan\u00a0and intention of \u00a0getting my butt kicked in Juan&#8217;s Tower class\u00a0at noon. \u00a0\u00a0While running, which I still do on <a href=\"http:\/\/kangoo-jumps.com\/products\">Kangoo Jump shoes<\/a>, I ruminated about the fact that\u00a0all my old, original remedies of my yesteryear have returned to full use in the past year. It&#8217;s really a &#8220;back to beginning &amp; basics&#8221; regimen.<\/p>\n<p>I mean really?<!--more--><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>I bought a dehydrator to make my own snacks and herb spices. \u00a0Who else does this? Juicing.<\/li>\n<li>Why has something so awful looking as green thick juice become so wonderfully filling to me? \u00a0Why am I being a cheerleader to\u00a0so many other&#8217;s about it&#8217;s energy benefits? \u00a0Why is it my students hate to see me drink the juice before their class or session, because they know I am going &#8220;rock their world&#8221; with energy as a result!?<\/li>\n<li>Sea salt baths to ease dry skin and inflammation. \u00a0Coconut oil and pink salt for\u00a0exfoliation and the replenishing lost fluids with green tea brewed weekly so much so that there is nothing else in my freezer for juice, green tea and frozen strawberries and blueberries for my VitaMix\u00a0red juice bonanza.<\/li>\n<li>I&#8217;ve got glass canning jars filled with either fruit,\u00a0 salts or oils. \u00a0Diffusing my own essential oil creations in the apartment and the studio. \u00a0Are you hip to earthy, grounded scent of Winter Gardenia or Moroccan Fig? Go figure!<\/li>\n<li>I have three tablets, \u00a0three smartphones (so smart that two of them are basically obsolete\u00a0and being used as music devices) two\u00a0Macs, three\u00a0websites (and management of four others) and I am knitting again!@!@<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Like I said, its back to the beginning in many practices to keep body, mind and spirit whole, centered and, let&#8217;s face it, I think I am trying to delay or deter the aging process. The\u00a0&#8220;back to the beginning&#8221; repertoire I&#8217;ve noticed myself in the middle of\u00a0has made me realize I have been doing this stuff for a <em>really<\/em> long time and while the benefits feel good the fact that the process is needed really sucks. \u00a0#justsayin&#8217;Another\u00a0retro snapshot look at what&#8217;s happened during the year in the Pilates4Fitness Movement Space and taking a page from Chris Rock&#8217;s &#8220;Top Five&#8221; movie, here&#8217;s a few of the basic moves we loved in the studio this year.
