I have a new toy, uh, I mean tool in the studio. The most exhilerating playful toy, uhmm, tool that combines the resistance of the reformer, the challenge of the TRX and the rotation of a gyrotonic.

I am in love with the versatility that it provides. I turned on my camera and started playing, uh, I mean working with it for an hour, gleefully twisting, turning and rotating with complete pleasure and delight.

After editing all the videos (literally) the second Orbit arrived via FedEx along with the teacher’s manual. I quickly reupholstered it and thumbed through the manual. Well, of course, the basics were intuitive and pretty straight forward, yet there are several moves I performed instinctively (and captured on the videos) as a result of my work with TRX that are not featured in the manual.

For example, I added the use of the ankle resistance band for a little “extra” toning for standing leg circles and lunges.

Additionally, there are several movements that use two orbits that I can’t wait to experience personally and then introduce them to selective clients/students.
