Gina Jackson, Director/Owner a NY Power Pilates Certified Instructor, maintains a regular weekly workout within the Pilates studio in addition to enjoying Vinyasa Yoga regularly in Hoboken and Jersey City, NJ. With the opening of the Pilates4Fitness Movement Space, she has combined a love and passion for Pilates and traditional strength and conditioning with a few “non-traditional” body movement tools.
A classically trained Pilates Teacher, Gina and has been teaching along the Gold Coast of Hudson and Bergen County, NJ for more than fifteen years. Certified by Power Pilates of New York, Gina has trained with Master Teachers Bob Liekens, Susan Moran, Brett Howard; Senior Teachers Alison Laundrie, Juliet Harvey and Juan Estrada and has enjoyed workshop training with Blossom Leilani Crawford, Kathy Corey and Alycea Ungaro as well as listening and learning from the personal stories of Joe Pilates as told by Pilates Elders, Kathy Grant and Lolita San Miguel.
Gina offers a challenging workout to all students and works with men and women of all ages, sizes and shapes. In addition to managing/teaching in the Pilates4Fitness Movement Space, she has enjoyed teaching as a Guest Instructor in caribbean resorts of Jamaica, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic.
To keep it all together, Pilates, Strength, Fitness & Health remain lifelong pursuits and endeavors. While the use of the body, its structure and muscles are exactly the same, traditional strength training and Pilates fitness training are distinctly different disciplines.
Gina holds a BA from Upsala College and MBA from New York University and uses all her corporate business management expertise in the management of the studio and business. She supports a myriad of clients, teaching all to honor their health, strength and life with the principles of Pilates at its core. On the personal side, she plays hard, laughs heartily and is crazy about social media connections.
Jennifer A. Cayenne, Instructor is certified by the United States Pilates Association (USPA) Teacher Certification Program under the guidance of Brett Howard Teacher of Teachers. Jennifer completed the Classical Pilates Certification through Joseph Pilates Mind/Body method for a combination of 600 hours that involved practice, observation and assistant teaching which spanned over a two year period. As part of the training, Jennifer learned how to teach Pilates on the Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Barrels and other apparatus. This training increased Jennifer’s knowledge of the anatomy and how the movements strengthens and promotes lean muscles.
Jennifer was first introduced to Pilates after six months of Physical Therapy for a lower back injury and immediately fell in love with the practice because of the movements, that helped facilitate the rehabilitating process, and the efficacy she believe it will provide for the long term.
Jennifer holds a B.A. Computer Science, Baruch College and Master’s Degree in Information Systems, Stevens Institute of Technology. A Project Manager at Publicis, she is currently teaching private sessions and mat classes at the Pilates4FitnessMovement Space.
Like Gina, she is a Tech-Nerd and a Pilates-Nerd.
