The energy toward the end of the week was feverish to say the least.  The barometric pressure had all of our sinus blocked.  Anticipation of the battle of the East Coast #Snowmageddon2016  had so many people on warning, it was such a relief and release to let go of the steam after the storm.

snowmageddon1Or during the storm.  Or before the curfew on the streets  by skiing and snowboarding through Times Square.

For my Pilates peeps and myself?

Kinda normal.  Typical workouts, lots of wine, more workouts, more wine, lots of wine, more sweat and did I mention lots of chardonnay.

Then some of us walk in the snow and just chill.  Just a few of us 😉

I picked a new room with an amazing view of the city to get my cardio workout done from now on.  I call it “A Room With a View” as there are 12-15 treadmill machines facing the Manhattan skyline overlooking the Hudson River and blissful is the only sensation I have when moving at a stride, gallup or a full long run looking over water and sunlight.

So MondayMatwork starts with a good cardio sweat and then my own personal 3-5 rep Advanced Mat workout.  The rest of the weeks’ activities were consistent with the weekly focus and client needs until Saturday’s weather forecast changed everything.

Funny how, the start and the end brought me right back to the same place – a view of the peaceful water’s edge.
