Intro/Beginner Pilates Mat series is an ideal way for everyone to learn the basic principles and exercises of the Classical Pilates Method. This class format is recommended for all newcomers to the practice and is an excellent precursor to any further study of Pilates and many of the other Pilates4Fitness Movement Center classes.
Consistency with the Pilates Method will:
- Develop a Strong Core - strengthening your deep abdominal muscles, your back and yes, your butt.
- Improve Your Posture - lengthen the spinal compression that you might be developing, especially as you grow older or spend long hours hunched over and in front of a computer.
- Increase Strength and Flexibility; you are simultaneously strengthening and stretching your muscles. This gives your joints greater range of motion and also helps prevent the likelihood that you will become injured.
- Integrate mind, body and breath to use your body and live healthier.

Due to the lack of enthusiasm and fitness results I needed an urgent change and thankfully after researching online it didn't take long to find Pilates4Fitness . The proximity to my house and the great reviews made it very attractive and I decided to try it right away.
The first class was not easy for me but that was just a reflection of how poorly fit my body was. Nonetheless, the challenge didn't make me back up but rather gave me the energy to continue and to push myself to further distances with my newly sought love for Pilates. After my 1st class I quickly became more conscious of my posture and I found myself correcting it automatically while sitting down in my office or even in the bus during the commute back home.
After the 2nd class I became aware of muscles in my body that I didn't even knew existed and definitely by the 10th session I completely felt and saw a big difference in my abs, back, legs, and arms. My body was more toned and everybody also noticed it! I feel so great with Pilates and the body-mind connection that I've found with this exercise has also brought a lot of benefits to my overall health.
The studio is a very welcoming and soothing space and Gina the instructor / founder is FABULOUS! She is a true professional and knows how to motivate and guide you in every class. You feel you are getting a private instruction while being in small class. I highly recommend Pilates4Fitness to everyone! You'll feel great and won't want to stop.
